how long do cosmetic tattoos last?

Cosmetic tattooing is semi-permanent—it won’t wash off but will fade over time. Touch-ups may be needed yearly, depending on factors like pigment color, skin type, sun exposure, and skincare. Results vary, and multiple sessions are normal. Your second session can be booked at least 6 weeks after the first and will be priced separately.

how will i look after my appointment? What is the aftercare?

Your semi-permanent makeup will appear darker and more intense than expected for the first few days. This will gradually lighten during the complete healing process. Redness and swelling is minimal. Please view our detailed aftercare instructions here.

when can i get botox or fillers?

You can get Botox & fillers 4 weeks prior to your appointment.

can i book an appointment if i already have cosmetic tattoos?

Yes! Please email us with super duper CLEAR photos of your tattoo, preferably in natural lighting so we can recommend the best course of action to achieve the best results for you!

can i get tattooed if i am taking accutane?

Unfortunately no, you must have been off Accutane for at least 12 months. We recommend talking to your doctor for the best information for your personal circumstances.

can i bring a friend?

We do not allow extra guests. Our studio is quite small, has a limited amount of seating and a very relaxing vibe. Please be mindful of other artists working. We are also unfortunately not able to accommodate anyone under 18 due to tattoo studio laws.

how will my cosmetic tattoo look in the future?

We’ll assess your skin tone and mix pigments to best match your natural brows and hair. Most clients’ results fade evenly, but some may shift slightly due to factors like lifestyle or iron levels. At your touch-up, we’ll adjust as needed to maintain color balance. Over time, brows naturally soften to a more powdered look. Annual refreshers are recommended to keep them looking fresh—results vary by individual.

can i work out after getting tattooed?

You must avoid working out for 7-10 days following your cosmetic tattoo appointment. Light exercising is allowed (no sweating), but you MUST clean the tattooed area with provided aftercare. The salt in the sweat will fade the pigment very quickly and give poor results.

final notes

  • No Refunds. No Guarantees. Every client heals differently. By booking, you accept these terms.

faqs

what is cosmetic tattooing?

Cosmetic tattooing, also referred to as semi-permanent makeup or micropigmentation, is the process of implanting colour pigment beneath the surface of the skin by means of tiny, sterile, disposable needles to produce the appearance of hair strokes, makeup, or to enhance the natural features of the face.

what should i do before my appointment?

If you have a preferred brow shape or color, bring reference photos and come with your brows filled in as usual. No waxing around your eyebrows at lease a week before your appointment. Avoid blood-thinning meds (like Aspirin, Vitamin E, fish oil, and Ibuprofen) for 72 hours prior. No alcohol the night before or day of, and limit caffeine. If you’ve taken Accutane, wait at least one year. Avoid sun or tanning bed exposure for 30 days before and after. Plan vacations at least 14 days after your appointment.

does it hurt?

To keep it as pain-free as possible we use a maximum-strength topical numbing cream. Although pain varies from person to person, most of our clients experience little to no pain during the procedure.

how many sessions will i need?

Two treatments are usually needed, at least 6 weeks apart. With most procedures, the color looks dramatically lighter after the first week. Some clients prefer this, while others opt for a bolder look. At the second treatment, we will assess the color retention and make adjustments as necessary. Everyone heals differently and at different rates. If your cosmetic tattoo does not heal perfectly the first time, do not worry! We can always go darker and add more density at your next appointment.

can i get tattooed if i have allergies?

If you have any allergies, please check with us prior to booking an appointment. We will provide you a list of ingredients of all products used.

can i get tattooed if i am using retinol?

You MUST stop using Retinol 2 weeks prior to your appointment and avoid using it for the 2 weeks following your appointment.

is the studio and equipment safe?

Absolutely! We pride ourselves on having an immaculate and sterile studio space. We only use single use, disposable needles and supplies. This means that each set-up for each new client is discarded safely afterwards. Each of our stations are thoroughly disinfected before opening and after each procedure throughout the day.

your brow era starts here, babe.
